April 19, 2025 | Mahoning Valley, OH — Several board members of the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals (MVYP) Board came together today to lend a helping hand to families in need this Easter season through a meaningful partnership with United Way of the Mahoning Valley.

Board members Justin Metzel, Austin Sambuco, Steven Weeden, Chelsea Miley, Tyler Wolfe, Ryan Miley, Coleman Stauffer and Gina Peplow spent the day volunteering their time to help prepare and package meals for distribution. The effort was part of a larger community-wide initiative powered by United Way, which included dozens of volunteers and local organizations committed to ensuring every family could celebrate Easter with a meal.

Gina Peplow, who serves as the Chair of MVYP’s G.I.V.E.S. outreach, spearheaded the collaboration. Her leadership helped coordinate MVYP’s involvement in this impactful event, emphasizing the organization’s mission of investing in the community through meaningful service.

“We are so grateful for United Way and all they do for the Mahoning Valley,” said Peplow. “It was an honor to stand beside our board members and so many selfless volunteers today to help make a difference.”

From packaging to delivering meals to doorsteps in time for Easter Sunday, the initiative showcased the power of community partnership in action. MVYP was proud to be a part of it and remains committed to serving and uplifting the Valley.
