Zachary Gay is a strategic banking executive, accomplished financial analyst, and committed community leader whose rapid rise in the finance industry is matched by his passion for serving others. As Vice President and Director of Retail Banking at Farmers National Bank, Zach leads the bank’s entire retail network across multiple regions—managing performance, building strategy, and empowering teams to drive results.
With over 13 years of banking experience, Zach’s journey from part-time bank teller to a senior executive is a reflection of his unmatched work ethic, financial expertise, and ability to lead through data-driven decision-making. In his current role, he oversees retail sales goals, strategic planning, product development, and performance metrics across the organization, while also chairing the Retail Pricing Committee and serving on the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and Process Improvement Committee. His forward-thinking leadership has made him a key contributor to Farmers’ continued growth and innovation.
Prior to joining Farmers in 2022, Zach served as Vice President at Premier Bank, where he specialized in deposit pricing, branch distribution strategy, compensation modeling, and cross-department collaboration. His keen understanding of retail operations, profitability, and business intelligence allowed him to directly influence performance and strategic outcomes across the bank’s footprint.
Zach holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Franklin University and is a proud graduate of the Ohio Bankers League Bank Management School, where he refined his leadership acumen among the state’s top financial professionals. He is also a graduate of the Farmers Academy, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional growth.
Beyond the office, Zach is deeply rooted in his community. He serves as Treasurer and Board Member for The HELMS Foundation, supporting art therapy initiatives for individuals with mental health, physical, and developmental disabilities. He volunteers with Junior Achievement, where he mentors future business leaders, and donates his time each year to the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, helping raise funds for vital community services.
