Terrance Reardon is a compassionate leader, licensed funeral director, and community advocate whose unwavering dedication to both his profession and his neighbors has made a lasting impact on the Mahoning Valley. As Vice President of Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Terrance plays an integral role in supporting families during life’s most difficult moments while leading operations across five chapels in Austintown, Canfield, Poland, North Jackson, and Salem.
Since joining the funeral home in 2013 as a Funeral Assistant, Terrance has steadily risen through the ranks — demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and unmatched attention to detail. Today, he oversees not only day-to-day services and crematory operations but also strategic planning and organizational leadership for one of the region’s most respected family-owned businesses. His ability to balance empathy and efficiency has earned the trust of grieving families and the respect of his peers.
Terrance’s dedication to excellence is reflected in his academic and professional achievements. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Studies – Athletic Administration with a minor in Exercise Science from John Carroll University, and went on to graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List in both 2017 and 2018. He was also a recipient of the CORE Mortuary Scholarship and selected to participate in the NFDA Meet the Mentors Program, highlighting his leadership in the national funeral service profession.
Beyond his work, Terrance is a pillar of his community. He is an active member of the Poland Lions Club, regularly volunteering in service projects that directly benefit local residents. He also contributes to heritage and charitable causes through the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and as a dedicated member of Sigma Board 60, supports initiatives that strengthen the Mahoning Valley through philanthropy, outreach, and leadership.
Terrance’s commitment to community engagement began early. As a student, he served as Treasurer of the PIMS Student Senate, organizing fundraisers and managing budgets to support nonprofit organizations — a role that shaped his philosophy of service and stewardship. He continues to live out that philosophy in every facet of his career and life.
Known for his humility, reliability, and heart for service, Terrance Reardon exemplifies what it means to lead with compassion and purpose. His efforts to support families, mentor future professionals, and give back to his community make him a deserving honoree of the 2025 25 Under 35 Award.
