MEET THE HONOREE

2025 MVYP 25 Under 35 Honoree

Share and Celebrate

Madison Tromler is a tenacious journalist, Emmy-nominated reporter, and community advocate whose dedication to uncovering truth and uplifting others has made her one of the most recognizable and trusted media figures in the Mahoning Valley. As the 6PM Co-Anchor and Reporter at WFMJ-TV 21, Madison brings a rare blend of investigative excellence, heartfelt storytelling, and local impact to every newscast.

A graduate of Kent State University, Madison earned her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and was a Dean’s List honoree throughout her academic journey. She began her career at WFMJ in May 2020, just months after graduation — and within six months, was promoted to anchor the station’s flagship 6PM newscast, a meteoric rise that is nearly unheard of in the broadcast industry.

Since then, Madison has grown into WFMJ’s lead investigative reporter, holding public officials accountable and covering some of the region’s most consequential stories. Her work has taken her from local classrooms to Capitol Hill, including coverage of the East Palestine train derailment, where she traveled to Washington, D.C. to press for answers from the National Transportation Safety Board. Her commitment to truth and community earned her an Associated Press Award for Best Coverage of a Scheduled Event, an Emmy nomination, and the Excellence in Media Award from the Youngstown Press Club.

Beyond journalism, Madison is a passionate advocate for heart health, a cause close to her own story. Having undergone open-heart surgery as an infant, she now uses her platform to raise awareness and funding through the American Heart Association’s “Women of Impact” campaign. She has also served as emcee for the Tri-County Go Red for Women Celebration and supports other local initiatives, including the Second Harvest Foodbank’s Feed Our Valley campaign.

Madison’s blend of courage, compassion, and clarity make her a standout among young professionals. She leads not for recognition, but because she believes in the power of storytelling to make lives better and communities stronger.

For her fearless journalism, commitment to public service, and resilient heart, Madison Tromler is a powerful voice in the Mahoning Valley — and a deserving recipient of the 2025 25 Under 35 Award.
