Griffin K. Todd, CPA, MBA is a trusted advisor, construction industry expert, and values-driven leader whose ability to combine technical accounting expertise with strategic insight has helped businesses grow and thrive throughout the Mahoning Valley and beyond. As Senior Manager and Regional Director of HBK Construction Solutions, Griffin plays a pivotal role in advancing one of the region’s leading multidisciplinary financial firms while mentoring the next generation of professionals within his field.

After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later earning his MBA from Youngstown State University, Griffin began his career in public accounting in 2013. He joined HBK CPAs and Consultants in 2016, quickly earning his Certified Public Accountant license and steadily rising through the ranks. In his current leadership role, Griffin oversees a growing team and provides high-impact advisory services to contractors — from cash flow projections and succession planning to benchmarking analysis and cost segregation strategies.

Griffin is known for his ability to deliver real results. In one case, his work helped a contractor reduce revenue by half while doubling net profit through smarter financial structuring. He’s also been instrumental in helping clients navigate complex state and local tax regulations, prepare for state prequalifications, and evaluate business structures like S-Corp vs. C-Corp conversions.

Recognized for his leadership, Griffin was selected by the firm’s National Director to attend the annual Construction Accounting Network Bootcamp, where he collaborates with other top professionals nationwide to refine best practices in financial planning and advisory services tailored to the construction industry.

Beyond his technical achievements, Griffin is passionate about community and professional development. He is an active member of several organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ohio Society of CPAs, and multiple regional builder and construction associations. He also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and supports local nonprofits through HBK-led community initiatives like the American Heart Association and Golden String, Inc.

Griffin’s leadership extends within HBK as well, where he is a trusted mentor and guide to younger team members. He helps develop technical and interpersonal skills, shares insight from his own journey, and encourages others to pursue CPA licensure and career advancement with purpose and confidence.
